DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE DIFFERENT QUALITIES OF CANE AND RATTEN?

Cane is graded when grown and sold with grading from A to F the best being A.
Most people think all cane is the same, not true.
Like many natural products there are different grades of quality, cane in its raw state is sold by weight; this determines its strength and durability.
Once manufactured into CANE FURNITURE anything less than grade A cane will have thin poles (i.e. the legs) with tiny splits and knots. In using thin poles on cane conservatory furniture it will tend to splay the legs outwards after a short period of time, also using anything less than grade A cane makes it very difficult to get a superb finish when you come to stain and lacquer the end product.

At Cane Direct we use only grade A cane offering the finest finish available and we can give you a 10 year guarantee on the durability and strength of our conservatory furniture. Please remember when purchasing your new conservatory furniture that it is very difficult to reproduce the colour of the cane furniture on a computer image.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF CANE FURNITURE IS?

The bases are the most important part of the furniture these are what support the frame and yourself, many cane companies use timber bases because they are cheaper to produce, the problem with timber bases is that they tend to split after a short space of time (see photo on top) we at Cane Direct use 3” hardwood bases (see photo on the right) once the base has split it renders your furniture useless because nobody replaces them. Cane Direct gives a life time guarantee on all our bases yes a life time guarantee. We use the highest quality nylon webbing that is braced by our hardwood  bases, this webbing will never sag unlike springs which after a few years tend to sag in the middle. If you’re shopping around please ask the question -Are the bases timber or hardwood?
If the answer is timber I would be careful about making the purchase, also ask the question are the bases sprung or webbed? Again if sprung consider your purchase carefully.

All our bases are screwed in the frame as well as the underneath supports giving extra strength to the furniture, Cane Direct products are exclusive to us and you will not see them anywhere else on the web, we are the only company to give a 10 year guarantee on our frames and the only company to give a life time guarantee on our bases, we have been trading 16 years and have sold over 10,000 suites.
